Lunch Made By A Special Missionary

The nonprofit organization I work for, ZOE, cares for orphans and rescues children from human trafficking.  Our other mission is to spread the gospel to all the nations, primarily focusing on the 10/40 window.  Though the headquarters of ZOE is located here in CA, the action happens in Thailand.  Our Children's Home is located in Thailand where we currently have about 60 children that we have already rescued.  These children are infused with love, education and everything they could ever have hoped for.  Along with the full restoration and transformation these children experience only by God's love and grace, we also have amazing missionaries who have given up everything that they know of to be obedient to God's calling.  Most of our missionary families have children, the youngest who was just born a couple of months ago.  Try to wrap your mind around that.  When called to go, would you?  I know it's a super tough question to answer but one day, God will challenge you to do something that may be out of your comfort zone.  Be obedient to God and follow.  God will never give us anything we can't handle.  Growth is a part of our walk with God.

Our missionaries come home once a year to be with friends, family and to fundraise.  It's so refreshing when they come home.  The stories and experiences they share with us is so amazing and uplifting!  One of our missionaries who stays on the same property as our US office is so amazing.  On occasion, she makes lunch for all of us in the office.  As if she's not busy!!  And let me tell you, she's such an amazing cook!  Below are some items she has made for us in the past.

Doesn't it look simply delicious!  The first photo is the day she made us turkey with avocado sandwich on french bread.  Her son came into our office and took our order.  Would we like cheese, what condiments would you like on our sandwich, etc...  Her son went home, then minutes later, brought us our meal.  It was so cute!  Then another time, she made us homemade lasagna.  It was so good.  I love how she always balances our meal with veggies!

Message to the Missionary:  Thank you for showering us with so much love when we should be the ones showering you.  Thank you for being obedient to God's calling.  Because of you, lives are being changed and transformed.  You are an amazing missionary.  I appreciate you so much and am so blessed to know you.  P.S. Thank you for lunch.  Your meals are always DELICIOUS!!
