Where the Sidewalk Ends-Food Poem #3

I am not a morning person at all, so breakfast is usually a meal I often miss. But when I am awake and ready to eat, I do truly enjoy eating breakfast foods. I enjoy fruit, oatmeal, yogurt and of course, pancakes. I personally love McDonald's pancakes as well as their syrup. The texture and fluffiness of the pancake and the sweetness of the maple syrup is just perfect. Though I love the smell, I am not a coffee drinker. I prefer tea, water or juice with my breakfast.

I read this poem from Shel Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends" and it reminded me of some of the joy's of waking up early (only some which I can probably count on 1 hand...I would much rather be snoozing).

Pancake?
Who wants a pancake,
Sweet and pipping hot?
Good little Grace looks up and says,
"I'll take the one on top."
Who else wants a pancake,
Fresh off the griddle?
Terrible Theresa smiles and says,
"I'll take the one in the middle."
