Velvet Cupcakes-Bag vs. Box

Would you like a bag for that?  Usually you hear this question at the supermarket.  Recently I visited Velvet Cupcakes at our mall and got asked this question.  In my previous post, when I ordered a cupcake from this store, I was given a box to cradle my delicate cupcake.  This time around, I was given a bag.  I asked about getting my cupcake in a box because this cupcake was not for me.  It was to celebrate a coworkers birthday the next day during work.  How awful would that be if the frosting got damaged!  I was told that if I wanted my cupcake in a box, that there would be a charge.  I honestly can't remember what the cost was because I was so surprised!  I guess the bag is not bad but I would think that Velvet Cupcake would want their cupcakes to remain pretty. 

Obviously, I did not want to pay for something that was going to be eventually thrown away but still...I am having more and more doubts about revisiting this place.  I guess when you have a storefront in a prime location like our mall, you will do everything you can do to save on cost.  The last time I visited, I was not too happy with the lack of customer service and this time with the extra charge of a box, things are looking pretty lean on me going back to this place.  What a bummer.
