Congratulations to Seoul Sausage!

One of my favorite tv channels is obviously the Food Network Channel.  This channel is amazing.  They have cook off competitions, recipe shows, reality shows about cooking and everything else in between.  One show I was hooked on for the past couple of months was the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race.  Contenders submit a short video and why they think they deserve a Food Truck of their own.  The season starts off with a certain number of teams getting a food truck of their very own, driving across the nation and each week, a team gets eliminated off the show.  During the course of the episode, there are arguments, challenges put out by the shows hos,t Tyler Florence and of course, tears.  This is the third season of this show.  The grand prize is that the team gets to keep their food truck that is all decked out with their company's logo and $50,000.

This season, the winning team went to 3 Korean guys from Los Angeles, called Seoul Sausage.  There is an actual store called Seoul Sausage down in L.A and from their, the guys' dream was to show their parents that they can make it in the food business.  Their main product line at the store is, yes, you guessed it sausages with of course a Korean kick.  After weeks of competing and selling across the U.S., Seoul Sausages profited just over $100 more than Nonna's Kitchen, 3 girls from Jersey.  It was so amazing and such a close race.  One of the top selling items for Seoul Sausages was their fried kimchi balls.  I am for sure going to have to try these out.  They are basically deep fried rice mixed with kimchi and meat.  You can never go wrong with some kimchi and rice!

The next time you are driving around and see a black food truck with a pig on the side, follow them!  Though the line will probably be long, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.  Congrats Seoul Sausage!!  See you around L.A.
